We are going through a custody case and the other party recently subpoenad, and my employer released, a copy of my entire personnel file. I can understand why some personnel records would be needed, but records that have no bearing on the case were also released (i.e. my childs birth certificate that is not related to the other party).Are there any limits to what can be subpoena'd in Michigan for a civil case?
If the subpoena does not specify the exact dates and info requested the employer has no choice but to comply with the courts order.!~!
