What does it mean in a civil case to have judgement put against you?

what is motion for considerationWhat does it mean in a civil case to have judgement put against you?
that means there has been a decision made against you. whatever the judgment may be, it is a decision made by the judge (and sometimes jury) that you are at fault. usually it results in an awarding of money for the other party - to be paid by you. a motion for consideration is what you file when you want the judge to consider a point. they are filed on any number of issues and without more info, i wouldn't be able to tell you what the judge was being asked to review.What does it mean in a civil case to have judgement put against you?
Based on the balance of evidence the judge has found against you and made an award. The motion for consideration is a chance to give reasons why the damages assessed against you should be lessened.
It means that the judge has ruled that you owe the other person money. Without more context I can't say what might be meant by ';motion for consideration.';
A civil judgement aginst you means someone sued you and won.
Can you be more specific? And are you talking about a Motion for Consideration--which I've never heard of--or a Motion for Reconsideration, which I have heard of?
Motion For Consideration is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to hold you liable for judgment in your civil case. In other words, if you receive a judgment against you, it usually results in a monetary one in which you will owe/pay the defendant.
that means if you sell a house or something of value, they get their money first............that's basically it. :)
