How do i find out who has filled a civil court cases against me?

Go down to the civil division of the court clerk's office and ask them to print out any case history associated with your name. Most of the time in civil cases, you are not required by law to be personally served. The summons will be sent to your last known address by mail, so you won't always know. If you don't want to (or can't) do that, then pull your credit report. They are generally updated fairly quickly when a civil suit has been filed against you, and will show who/when/amount associated with the case. How do i find out who has filled a civil court cases against me?
A civil case is one where a monetary award is being requested. It is a matter of public record. You SHOULD be served with a subpeno to appear.. that will have your name as well as the plantiff sueing you.

Otherwise.. call the local court house.. and ask for the civil suit division. How do i find out who has filled a civil court cases against me?
';proper service'; is required by due process, a constitutional guarantee. If you are not named as a defendant in a civil lawsuit, you cannot be sued. So if you get a subpoena with your name on is as a defendant then you are on notice that you are being sued. if you don't get a notice, then you should be good. Unless you have been hiding out trying to aviod service. if you have done that, the court will allow the plaintiff to publish the notice ina newspaper and continue with the lawsuit...whew....I know that is a lot, but it is the correct law.
