Yes, they can garnish your wages, and income tax returns, and bank accounts.

They can also garnish any of her wages and income tax returns and bank accounts, until the debt is settled. Even if she's not working right now.I was in an accident and I filed Bankruptcy against the insurance co,but now I am being sued in a civil case?
You don't need a personal injury attorney, you need a defense attorney. Look at OJ Simpson, he was acquited in a criminal trial, but found guilty in a civil trial and over 10 years later, the Goldman family is slowly taking all his assets and income away. I'm not saying they aren't entitled to it, just using him for an example. Did you not have insurance? No license? You are in a bad situation.
Yes, they can gain a judgement against you, and garnish your wages, put a lien on your taxes, among other things. You should have included these people in your bankruptcy filing, I'm surprised your attorney didn't advise you of that.
If your insurance policy was ACTIVE %26amp; IN FORCE for the date of loss, they owe you a defense. Turn the claim in if you haven't already.
You need to contact your bankruptcy attorney and a Personal Injury attorney about this.
