I believe I am going to be served soon with a lawsuit, as I have heard from someone I know a process server was looking for me...I have little or no money for an attorney, I am on disability, but feel uncomfortable going to court without an attorney...I believe this lawsuit is from a creditor I have not yet paid, I am saving money to pay them and have a company to help me negotiate with my creditors when I have saved up enough money to do so...They ARE legitimate, but do NOT help with legal advice...ALSO, I have been told that I MUST be contacted by mail as well with any legal documents, this company KNOWS my address, a P.O. Box, and they are harrassing my father with phone calls, BEFORE 9 PM, where I USED to live and EVEN THO he tells them I DO NOT live there anymore, they STILL call him but they have STOPPED calling me on my cell phone...BUT THIS IS REALLY ABOUT WHETHER I CAN OBTAIN LEGAL AID IF I AM SUED IN CIVIL COURT OR SMALL CLAIMS COURT...Is there Legal Aid for civil cases in Suffolk County? If you're a legal professio9nal, PLEASE HELP ME!!!?
