If you don't show up for court, you may be held in contempt and have a summons or warrant issued. If it's a money matter, judgment is made against you, and you don't pay, your paycheck and checking account will be garnished. Go and see a Duty Solicitor. These are free of charge, and they are available to to everyone who needs them. Contact the court and ask when the duty solicitor is in, then make an appointment to see him of her. They can help decide your plan of action. Good luck.
