How do I fight a civil case?

Basically, the time period they are stating that the events occur are not adding up. They basically told me a number of weeks and the months that it happen, but the weeks are not adding up with the number of months. Even with that, the months they are claiming I did this I was attending college. So, what do I need to do to clear the matter up? Because they have sent me a letter saying I need to pay them this amount of money that I feel I don't own them. How do I fight a civil case?
Just like any other legal matter. Get an attorney and go to court. It's the only way you could possibly win. Obviously, some sort of judgement has been arrived at without your presence. Good luck. How do I fight a civil case?
It sounds liken you arebeing asked to pay a bill that you do not think you owe. There doesn't appear to be a civil suit in progress, or you would have been ordered to court. Gtaher any documentation you can that tends to prove that you do not owe the bill and write to the people billing you asking for clarification of anything that does not llok right.
Have they commenced a civil action or small claims suit. If not then do nothing, except for maybe phoning and writing them to confirm their account and explain it.

If they have filed a Claim...file your defence or notice of intention to appear and dispute.
